    Headings

There are two pages of items and prices and these can carry a different commission rate for each page. The names of these pages is controled through a data file called VALET.DAT To change this file type EDIT VALET.DAT line 1 will be page 1 and line 2 will be page 2 to exit and save press Alt then F (file) then S (save) There should not be a blank line and each bit of information has a different effect on the running of the programs. If you make a mistake and can't get out of it then type Alt-F-X and choose not to save.

    Prices and Items

Because each of your clients (companies) can have their own list of items we need to set up a standard list of items and prices. There are two input pages with 40 items on each, for ease of explanation we will call them DryCleaning and Laundry). Although there are 40 items and this seems a lot you might soon run out of items if you add to the items each time something 'new' comes in. For this reason we leave the last item on each page as 'various'. When this item is chosen you will be asked to type the name of the item in and then the price of the item. Here we only need to cooncern ourselves with the most regular of items. Index
